About

I’m always impressed by the “work” of professional sports writers that continually print crazy, unresearched opinions.  Actually, impressed may not be the right word.  But I have to admit, I think I’m a little bit jealous.  In my own wannabe-writer attempts, I always feel an obligation to try to be responsible when writing even though I’m really just writing for myself.

But really, I am jealous because they have so much creative freedom to write whatever they please without trying to get any confirmation from the sources they are writing about even though they have the means to do so.  And that last part is probably the sticking point.  Me?  I can’t call up Tony Romo or Phil Jackson or a sports agent and get confirmation of my assumptions and theories.  So, I limit what I write on my other site.

But I have to wonder, what would it be like to write like the Peter Vescey, Sam Smith, Randy Galloway and Jean-Jacques Taylor? What would it be like to just get to make stuff up?  Or to just write the most obvious thing possible and pass it off as a unique sports column?

Well, now I’m going to find out.  My ”respectable” site, hoopscolumn, will continue to be my outlet for responsible amateur journalism.

SansResearch.com?  This site delights in irresponsible journalism.

So, please read, enjoy and comment.  But whatever you do, don’t take me seriously and don’t quote me!  It is all made up!
